Education is the cornerstone of our democracy and social studies education is what makes educated, informed and involved citizens. Aside from that, I LOVE history and political science and have taught World History, AP US History, and AP Government for most of my time here. I have been teaching at Wood River High School as a social studies teacher for 20+ years. I hold a bachelor's degree in history from Ohio University, received my teaching credential from Montana State University, have a Masters Degree from Boise State in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and last year completed my Doctorate in Education from Boise State. In 2016, I was named the Mountain Express’s Woman of the Year for my advocacy work on behalf of teachers and students in the Wood River Valley.

When I’m not teaching, I can be found riding my bike, knitting or sewing, painting, or floating down a river with my family. It is my absolute pleasure to teach at Wood River High School.
