Chet Olson
Mr. Olson teaches video production, photography, and multimedia, where he helps students unlock their creative powers and occasionally reminds them to hit “record.” His mission is to help students find a passion for visual storytelling—or at the very least, learn how to hold a camera correctly.
He draws inspiration from the legendary Marcelita Looslie, a creative genius known for her unstoppable humor, constant shenanigans, a suspicious obsession with garden gnomes, and her lifelong commitment to denying her children a pet bunny rabbit for reasons still unknown. Despite (or because of) this, she remains a hero.
Mr. Olson’s sworn nemesis is Mrs. Julia Grafft, the principal, who assigns unnecessary tasks like writing teacher bios and is widely rumored to be biased against him. She once escalated this rivalry by releasing a rap diss track under the stage name Mama G—an act Mr. Olson has neither confirmed nor recovered from.
Despite these obstacles, Mr. Olson continues to fight the good fight: teaching creativity, storytelling, and media skills while maintaining a classroom atmosphere fueled by curiosity, collaboration, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
