Ellen Nasvik

I am currently teaching Spanish at Wood River School but I started my career with Blaine County schools at Alturas Elementary. I was a paraprofessional in the ENL and special education department there for 4 years. I then moved to teach dual immersion 7th grade social studies at Wood River middle school for 7 years. While there, I earned my masters in English as a new language from BSU. I taught ENL and Spanish at Carey school for the last 2 years until moving to the high school in Hailey. Before working with the school district I was a cement contractor working on decorative projects, and I also worked for the Advocates for Survivors of Domestic Violence for 8 years. I came to the Wood River Valley because of the mountains and open space. Here I was able to make my child hood dream of living in a little cabin with a bunch of animals come true. I love to hike, bike, ski, ride horses, and just be outside.
