Amy McCabe

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where I taught P.E. and served as the Athletic Director at a large South Central L.A. high school for 14 years while coaching boys’ and girls’ swimming, diving, and water polo. In 2015, my husband and I moved to Hailey, Idaho to raise our son. I spent four years in Camas County as the Athletic Director and K–12 P.E. and Health teacher, coaching boys’ and girls’ middle school track during that time, before joining Wood River High School. This is my seventh year as the MTSS Coordinator and my fifth year as the 504 Coordinator, and I still enjoy teaching a P.E. class whenever I can.
Outside of school, I proudly live the hockey-rink life supporting my son and enjoy reading, working out, and hiking. I love helping students recognize their potential and work toward meaningful goals, and I’m grateful to live, work, and play in this amazing community.
