Benson Blair is the School Social Worker at Wood River High School. Raised in Victor, Idaho, Benson has deep roots in the Wood River Valley and a strong commitment to supporting youth and families in rural communities.

Benson earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Boise State University. His professional background includes community mental health, homeless veteran case management, child welfare, individual therapy, and emergency department social work. This diverse experience informs a holistic, student-centered approach focused on access, connection, and resilience.

At WRHS, Benson is especially excited to be rolling out Sources of Strength, a strengths-based prevention program that empowers students to build supportive peer networks and connect with trusted adults. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding and takes full advantage of everything Idaho’s outdoors have to offer.
